To achieve in science exams, students not only need to understand key concepts, but also sufficiently address exam questions by communicating their understanding clearly. 

I have 15 years’ experience practicing communicating my understanding of the NSW Science and Physics curriculums and developing and applying effective learning strategies. This includes marking 1000s of year 11 and 12 exam questions and meeting the markers of the HSC Physics exam multiple times. I am therefore familiar with:
* common student misunderstandings and areas of weakness
* how to decode exam style questions
* what details markers look for
* requirements of a band 6 student

I am passionate about identifying students’ strengths, weaknesses, and misconceptions so that I can improve their understanding and communication skills. I also have access to numerous resources and practice exams to help students develop their skills in areas such as mathematical problem-solving, writing, decoding exam questions, interpreting stimuli, and experimental design and analysis.
