My name is Siobhan and I am a primary school teacher from Ireland having moved to Australia for the foreseeable future.

Since qualifying I have completed 2 full years teaching in Ireland, one year as a Special education teacher and my second year as a grade 1 teacher. In October 2023 I moved to Australia and am currently working as a casual relief teacher in various schools around the Eastern Suburbs and inner Sydney. 

In Ireland I have experience tutoring a number of kids of varying ages with a focus on literacy and numeracy both online and face to face. As well as this, I have taken part in the July Provision home based programme which is a summer programme available to children with complex special educational needs where their schools are not providing a school-based programme. Through this programme I worked with a child with ASD on a 1:1 basis to develop social, emotional and academic skills.

My qualifications and experience have helped me in becoming comfortable working with children of all primary age groups and children with SEN.
