I am an experienced and highly regarded English teacher with over 40 years of teaching experience. I have taught in a variety of settings including Public and Catholic High Schools, Single-sex and Co-educational High schools, Selective High Schools and have worked with International Students teaching English skills in preparation for entry into University. My passion for teaching has seen me dedicate my career to ensuring that every student in my care receives the highest quality education possible. My extensive experience has allowed me to develop a deep knowledge and understanding of the different learning styles of students and become an expert in delivering personalised teaching to suit the needs of every individual. I have worked as a Higher School Certificate marker for 20 years with 10 of those years as a Senior Marker. I have vast experience in setting and marking HSC style questions for the Common Module and all parts in Paper 2 for both Advanced and Standard English. I also have extensive experience in teaching English Extension 1 and English Extension 2. Over the course of my career, I have aimed to engage and inspire my students and connect with students of all ages and backgrounds. I have an unwavering commitment to my students’ success and am always seeking new ways to expand my own knowledge and improve my teaching skills. I can provide one on one or small group tutoring for students. These online lessons are via Zoom or Microsoft Teams. Lessons are a duration of 60 minutes at a rate of $130 per hour. This includes offering assistance with assessment tasks, feedback on essays, or assistance with classwork. How to structure and write Essays and or Creative Writing pieces is also a common area that students seek assistance with, and tuition is offered for these writing skills as well. Where applicable resources are also provided.
