Hi,

My name is Alan and I am a primary school teacher from Ireland having moved to Australia for the foreseeable future. Since qualifying I have completed 2 full years teaching in Ireland, one year as a Special education teacher and my second year as a grade 3 teacher. In October 2023 I moved to Australia and am currently working full time in an SSP school in Sydney which facilitates for children unsuccessful in mainstream schools. I also have experience working as a supply teacher in both private and public/state schools in Sydney and also in Queensland.

In Ireland I have experience tutoring a number of kids of varying ages with a focus on literacy and numeracy both online and face to face. As well as this, I have taken part in the July Provision home based programme which is a summer programme available to children with complex special educational needs where their schools are not providing a school-based programme. Through this programme I worked with 3 children on a 1 to 1 basis over the course of 3 years during school holidays.

During my years studying in College I also worked as a supply teacher and accumulated over 3 years experience working as a supply teacher from Kindy all the way up to grade 6 and also in both junior and senior ASD units so I am extremely comfortable working at all levels and age groups.

 My availability is listed but I am flexible and am happy to discuss and arrange times that suit better.
